The Hurd Co is the exclusive producer of agrilose®,
a man-made cellulosic (MMC) feedstock pulp made from 100% agricultural waste.

Apparel brands use agrilose to produce MMC fabrics like viscose/rayon, modal, or lyocell fabric, which are normally made from tree pulp.

The Hurd Co’s patented technology makes it possible to extract the same quality of cellulose from non-tree sources. Instead, The Hurd Co uses agricultural waste: plant material that is normally thrown away or burned after food crops are harvested.

A zero-waste product,
made from waste.

Traditional pulping technologies (i.e. kraft pulping) are too harsh to extract viable cellulose from agricultural residues. The Hurd Co's patented process works with various agricultural wastes.

The Hurd Co’s patented zero waste process uses 50% less water and 90% less energy than conventional fiber pulp.
